As God’s mouthpiece, Habakkuk declared God’s word to Israel, who were in rebellion. Yet even he was not prepared for God to use a foreign nation to execute judgment on His people. While he questioned God’s purposes, the prophet also listened to God’s response: that the righteous will live by faith. The Lord works salvation for His people through Christ, and one day the earth will be filled with His glory. In this, we can greatly rejoice
